Patrick Michael Dooley, Sr. of Cartersville passed away on September 12, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. He was 61 years old, was born in Rome, NY, and he lived all over Europe and throughout the United States before settling in Cartersville, GA in 1996. He is survived by his son Patrick Michael Dooley, Jr., and his longtime partner of 40 years, Cathy Jones . He is also survived by his parents, Retired Lt. Col. Jeremiah and Doris Dooley of Phoenix, AZ, his sister Terry Gozeski and her husband Mike, of Greenfield, MA., sister Karen Tallman and husband Peter of Concho, AZ, and his brother John Dooley and his wife Jan of Memphis, TN.
Mr. Dooley two grandsons, Jacob Dooley of Georgia and Michael Gantz of Warren, Ohio, along with many friends in Orlando, FL and throughout the western United States. He was a painter by trade and a free spirit in life. He was also an avid Denver Bronco fan and his dying wish was that they win the super bowl this year. Go Broncos! He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Friends will be welcome at his home to celebrate his life, but no local service is planned. A formal celebration will be held in Phoenix, AZ for the family in October. We thank everyone that has supported us throughout his illness. Bless you all. Rest in peace, you are loved and will be in our hearts forever.
