• Cobb County Issues 38 New Business Licenses Sept. 6-13 (cobbcountycourier.com) — Several new businesses tied to Acworth addresses just received Cobb County licenses, including a flower nursery on County Line Road and a janitorial service on Sailboat Point. The week's 38 approvals span restaurants, contractors, health care, beauty services, and more, signaling fresh options and services that Acworth residents may soon see in their neighborhoods.
   

• Allegations surface that former Acworth officer misused Flock technology during his employment (11alive.com) — Acworth residents should know that their police department is reviewing allegations a former officer, Anthony Trapani, misused Flock license plate reader technology while employed there. After spotting potentially policy-violating searches, Acworth Police alerted Emerson Police, which then asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to look into the claims.
