Wins in the final at-bat are always exciting, which is exactly how North Cobb won on Thursday.

jumped out to an early lead on Thursday and added four runs in the top of the sixth inning, but saw that lead evaporate when added five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and one in the seventh to overtake the Mustangs, 7-6.

Kennesaw Mountain second baseman Tyler Brookins was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. But it wasn't enough.

Outfielders Matt Fryman and CJ Vincent were both 2-for-3 for North Cobb, while starting pitcher Wade Marcy struck out nine Mustangs in five innings of work.

The win for North Cobb (8-7, 4-1) propels them higher in the standings while moving Kennesaw Mountain (7-7, 2-3) two games behind the Warriors.
