A New Children's Consignment Boutique Has Opened In Alpharetta

Poppy Threads offers new and very gently worn items for children along with an accessory area teens and moms will love.

Poppy Threads is a new consignment store and boutique offering high-end brands on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta.

The shop is loaded with children's brands that guests would normally see in Neiman Marcus, Saks and other department stores and boutiques. These brands include Rachel And Chloe as well as Kiddo. They also have the well known designers that parents have grown to love such as Juicy and Gap. Clothes sold at Poppy Threads are both new and sold on consignment.

Baby toys and accessories as well as bedding and toys are plentiful and in like new condition. The shop discounts these items around 50 percent off what customers would buy them for at a regular retail store. The shop had a Baby Bjorn that looks practically new priced at $34.99. New, this same item sells for $79.99. Excer-saucers, bouncy seats and even a rocking horse are currently available at the shop.

One of the biggest sellers at the shop are the hair accessories. The store carries the typical gross-grain ribbon hair bows but they also have clips and headbands that are unique in sizes, colors, textures and shapes.

Moms and teens will also have a desire to come to Poppy Threads. The entrance has tables covered in jewelry for all ages. Necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings are in every color and style for all ages. Handbags line one wall for the  moms and teens who love the high fashion and modern look but dislike the typical high boutique price.

Customers can bring in clothes to sell to the consignment shop outright or the store can sell the items on consignment for customers. Those who wish to sell on consignment have the opportunity to earn more money for their items, but do have to wait until the item is sold to be paid. Sellers who wish to do this should contact the store for an appointment.

Poppy Threads opened on July 11 and has experienced a great response from the community. Shoppers are enjoying the high quality designer brands of clothes and accessories without the high prices. Customers will enjoy chatting when they come in as well. Owner Diana Kim and all of her friends who help out in the shop are friendly, helpful and ready to point out the great deals and items that the shop has to offer.

The store is located next to Starbucks and Z Pizza on Windward Parkway. It is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
