UPDATE: GA-400 at Windward Parkway Reopens After Accident

UPDATE at 2:02 p.m.: all northbound lanes of S.R. 400 at Windward Parkway in Alpharetta have reopened.

ORIGINAL STORY

The city of Alpharetta is encouraging residents to avoid S.R. 400 northbound as emergency crews work a “serious vehicle crash.”

Three northbound lanes of the Hospitality Highway are closed at the Windward Parkway interchange due to the accident. The city asks motorists to avoid the area and to use alternate travel routes.

Emergency responders are currently on scene, and there is currently no estimate as to when travel lanes will reopen, the city said.
