Alpharetta Candidate Forum Scheduled For Oct. 25

ALPHARETTA, GA -- The Alpharetta Business Association will host its Post 2 Council Candidate Forum next week at City Hall. The forum is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 in the Council Chambers.

Incumbent Mike Kennedy is not seeking re-election, so challengers Ben Burnett and Ben Easterling are vying for the seat. The Post 2 seat is the only contested race in the Nov. 7 municipal election.

Both candidates have indicated they will participate in the forum, which will feature opening statements

“The candidate forum will give the voters the only opportunity to see the Post 2 candidates discuss the
issues and answer questions on the same stage,” said John Ray, president of the Alpharetta Business
Association. “Because ABA and its members are so deeply involved in Alpharetta city affairs, we feel it’s
important to present this event to the community. It will allow the candidates the opportunity to
communicate their ideas on issues that impact businesses and the community at large."
