Alpharetta Partners With Local Company To Launch App
The ItsMyTown mobile app will provide users with information on news, events, city projects, parks listings and points of interest.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Alpharetta residents will soon have access to an app that will provide them with all the details about the city they call home. City Council members at their May 7 meeting authorized city staff to work with Alpharetta-based ITsimple to finalize a contract and roll out its ItsMyTown mobile app as a pilot program for Alpharetta.
The app contains information about the city, such as events and news, city directory, a rundown of parks and points of interest, the ability to report issues and a list of local businesses. Users will also be able to receive city notification and familiarize themselves with upcoming and completed projects.
“We are excited for Alpharetta to be the first city to leverage the ITsMyTown app to increase our outreach to our residents and visitors and share with them all of the exciting things happening here," said Mayor Donald Mitchell. "We are also extremely proud that this platform was conceived and developed by a local company right here, in the Technology City of the South.”

ITsimple would set up the app for the city for $1, and the app would be available to use by Alpharetta for an annual subscription price of $1 for the first two years. If the city continues its subscription for years three and four, the price would increase to about $43,200 per year. If that partnership moves forward, ITsimple would offer Alpharetta a 25-percent discount from the subscription price outlined for cities with a population size similar to Alpharetta.
