Alpharetta Restaurant Makes List Of 'Georgia’s 100 Plates'
The deviled eggs at South Main Kitchen in Alpharetta made the top 100 list.

ALPHARETTA, GA — The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Tourism Division (GDEcD) announced Thursday the release of the 2019-20 Explore Georgia Official State Culinary Guide. The fifth annual digest-sized guide features the wildly popular nomination-based “Georgia’s 100 Plates” list, and an Alpharetta restaurant made the list. The guide also has a feature on five noteworthy female chefs; a guide to the best places to sample peaches, barbecue, craft beer, international cuisine and Southern dishes; as well as an exceptional selection of the state’s best food and drink festivals.
The deviled eggs at South Main Kitchen in Alpharetta made the top 100 list. A Benton’s ham chip brings smokiness and crunch while Dijon mustard lends a note of sharpness to this classic side dish featuring eggs from Georgia’s own Darby Farms.
South Main Kitchen focuses on the social aspect of dining and the true artistry of food. Located in the heart of Alpharetta's Historic Downtown District, South Main Kitchen offers a fresh and unique kitchen-inspired dining experience to the area's emerging culinary scene. The cooking style is distinctly ingredient driven. The restaurant is housed in a historic building built in 1902 and features an open-kitchen, inviting dining room, communal seating and rooftop bar.
