Alpharetta YMCA Leader Resigns To Spend More Time With Family

ALPHARETTA, GA — The Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA Executive Director Scott Doll has announced his last day with the organization will be Tuesday, April 16.

In an email to YMCA members, Doll wrote, "it is with a heavy heart that I share that I have made the decision to leave my position at the YMCA on April 16th, in order to spend some much needed time with my family. I am truly grateful for the overwhelming support, encouragement and the friendships that have been built during my nearly 20 years with my YMCA Family."

According to his LinkedIn page, Doll said he has been with the Alpharetta branch as executive director since January 2013. Before that, he was the executive director of Mission Advancement for the Metro Atlanta YMCA beginning in July 2009. He also served as the executive director of the Metro Atlanta YMCA from 1995 to 2005.

Doll said his time with the Metro Atlanta Y has been "wonderful and rewarding, with friendships among members, staff and this community that will last my lifetime."

"I wish you all the very best as the Y moves toward an exciting new chapter in continued service to our community," he wrote. "Thank you for the impact you have made on my life."
