Aria Salon Spa Shoppe Celebrates 11th Anniversary After Remodeling

The Roswell couple's downtown Alpharetta shop is one of two salons they operate.

Matthew and Mechelle Khodayari of Roswell envisioned creating a value driven business in the late 90s, and brought their vision to life by opening the first

, named after their daughter, in November 2000.  

Last week the shop in Alpharetta Town Commons at the corner of Milton Avenue and Roswell Street celebrated its 11th anniversary along with a grand reopening.

Mayor-elect David Belle Isle and new Council member Donald Mitchell–both downtown Alpharetta business owners–helped the couple celebrate with friends, employees, Downtown Alpharetta Trade Association members and customers.

Mechelle, originally from Tennessee, is a second-generation stylist who has worked under renowned platform artists Brian & Sandra Smith and has worked as an educator for Aveda. Matthew, alumni of University of Tennessee, utilized his business experience to infuse his vision of customer service.

Since Arias’ inception it has been recognized as one of the “Top Ten Salons” in Atlanta and has also been listed in Salon Today as one of the “Top 200 Fastest Growing Salons in North America

The couple said as part of their commitment to the community, Aria Salons has continued to support The Drake House, North Fulton Community Charities, The Smile Train, The Gulf Coast Restoration, Susan G. Komen and The Johnny Foundation.
