"GDOT crews are repairing the bridge deck while other GDOT crews are providing traffic control," she said.

Crews are "working quickly to make the repairs," but Baker said she does not know how long the work will take.
The bridge is concrete and unlike asphalt, Baker said concrete needs between 48 and 72 hours to cure. This means the closure may be in place a little longer.
GDOT does hav a project programmed to rehabilitate the bridge, and construction on that project will begin in 2017, Baker said.
