Driver Dies Following Head-On Collision

Milton, GA -- One person was killed following a two-vehicle wreck Thursday afternoon in Milton.

The accident occurred along Arnold Mill Road/S.R. 140 near the Cherokee County line. Crews were dispatched to the crash at 1:46 p.m. Dec. 10.
Milton police spokesperson Lt. Charles Barstow said the two motor vehicles involved in the crash collided head-on.

One of the drivers was seriously injured, and transported to a local hospital for treatment. However, that patient “succumbed to their injuries” shortly after arriving at the hospital, Barstow said.
Milton police traffic specialists are investigating the cause of the crash, and Barstow said they will release their findings once that inquiry is complete.
