Driver Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash

The driver of a commercial vehicle suffered injuries in a single-vehicle accident early Friday afternoon in Milton.

Milton police and fire rescue crews responded to the accident on Oct. 2 in the vicinity of 13480 New Providence Road and Burlwood Drive, which is located between S.R. 140/Arnold Mill Road and S.R. 172/Birmingham Highway.

Initial findings show the vehicle “drifted off the roadway where the driver lost control and the vehicle collided with several trees,” said Milton police Lieutenant Charles Barstow.

Barstow said the driver, who suffered several fractures, was transported to North Fulton Hospital in serious, but stable, condition.

No other vehicles or persons were involved in the crash.
