Eight Schools in Alpharetta, Milton Will Start School Year With New Leaders
Retirements and transfers bring new principals to North Fulton schools.
Eight schools in Alpharetta and Milton have new principals at the start of the new school year on Aug. 15. Three elementary, four middle and one high school replaced their leaders.
Retiring educators who served for more than 30 years–including Elizabeth Fogartie at Webb Bridge Middle School–left vacancies that had the Fulton School System shuffle principals around and use its leadership development program to fill gaps. A few principals were recruited or applied from other school systems, with one even coming from Tennessee to lead an Alpharetta school.
Students and parents have had opportunities to meet many of these principals already, but most won't see them until the start of the school year.
