A Fall Vegetable Gardening workshop on Wednesday, Aug. 28 will help local residents who have gardens extend productivity. Beginners can learn how to get started in gardening without working during summer's heat in this workshop hosted by the city and the Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission.

This free class, conducted by the UGA/Fulton County Cooperative Extension and the North Fulton Master Gardeners, will cover: summer vs. fall season crops, sustainable gardening techniques, direct seeding and transplanting, frost protection, and preparing the garden for winter.
