Free Skin Cancer Screening Set For Thursday In North Fulton

The free screening, hosted by Northside Hospital, will be held July 20 in Alpharetta. Registration is required to participate.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed form of cancer, with thousands of cases of melanoma expected to be diagnosed in Georgia this year.

As with any type cancer, early detection is important and Northside Hospital Cancer Institute wants to help in that regard. The institute will offer a free skin cancer screening Thursday, July 20 at the Northside/Alpharetta Cancer Center.

The screening will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will include medical professionals providing assessments in a private setting. Registration is now open and everyone is invited to attend.

The cancer center is located at 3400 Old Milton Parkway Building B in Alpharetta. Qualified Spanish interpreters available free of charge, by request. The recommended screening attire is shorts and a T-shirt.
Appointments are required and can be made by calling 404-531-4444.

Northside’s skin cancer screening should not replace a complete skin exam with a skin specialist. Additional skin cancer screenings will be offered later in the year in Cumming.
