Fulton Commissioners Honor Milton Grows Green
The organization was recognized for its efforts to educating citizens on environmental sustainability.

The Fulton County Commission last week honored Milton Grows Green with a proclamation commending their efforts in educating and engaging citizens in environmental sustainability.
The award was presented by Commissioner Liz Hausmann, who represents north Fulton on the governing body.
MGG was one of five recipients recognized by the Fulton County Citizens Commission on the Environment. The Georgia Recycling Coalition, Historic Fourth Ward Park Conservancy, the Atlanta Public Schools Transportation Department and Sandy Springs’ Abernathy Greenway Project were also honored.

Milton Grows Green is a citizens’ volunteer committee that works with the city to ”foster best-case policies and practices in protection of natural resources, greenspace and development,” according to its website.
The citizens advocate for environmental sustainability and the protection of resources for future generations.
