Hotel At Avalon Signs Pre-Event Contracts Worth $2.5 Million

The 330-key hotel is scheduled to open Jan. 18, 2018, in Alpharetta.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Twelve high-profile event organizers and meeting planners have all signed on to host their respective functions at The Hotel at Avalon, the boutique Autograph Collection hotel anchoring Avalon in Alpharetta, HEI Hotels & Resorts announced this week.

The contracts are expected to generate about $2.5 million for the hotel, the company said. Following its opening on Jan. 16, 2018, some of the signed events will take place on the first four Saturdays.

“The luxury hotel and conference center is already a success because of Avalon and ‘The Avalon Experience’ – the indescribable feeling of happiness and wellness that comes with great placemaking,” said Mark Toro, managing partner of North American Properties. “People tell us they feel like they’re on vacation when they visit Avalon; one of our residents describes it as ‘living on a cruise ship.’ Soon, guests will finally be able to experience the delight of staying the night at Avalon.”

The 330-key hotel recently announced the addition of the iconic chef-driven restaurant South City Kitchen and a Starbucks coffee shop, adding to Avalon’s best-in-class retail and restaurant collection. Boulevard East, Avalon’s second phase, welcomed 20 new retailers and restaurants, 276 luxury homes and the first Avalon office tower to Alpharetta this spring.

The Hotel at Avalon is also booking for the 2018 wedding season, from entire wedding weekend packages to bachelorette parties and more. Avalon is uniquely positioned as a wedding destination, as brides and grooms can pamper themselves at retailers like Drybar, enjoy a progressive rehearsal dinner planned by The Hotel at Avalon through the community’s chef-driven eateries and secure large room blocks and gorgeous venues for their big day.

The $112 million Hotel at Avalon and Alpharetta Conference Center project is the result of a public-private partnership between Stormont Hospitality Group, North American Properties and the city of Alpharetta, with additional assistance from the Development Authority of Fulton County and the Alpharetta Convention & Visitors Bureau.

In addition to the hotel’s local chef-driven restaurant, The Hotel at Avalon will feature a Starbucks coffee shop, a 24-hour fitness center, an upscale lobby bar and gathering space, and a spacious second-story pool terrace, ideally designed for outdoor events and banquet functions. Guests will also enjoy complimentary high-speed wireless internet service offered throughout Avalon’s Fiberhood, Atlanta’s first uber-fast gigabit wireless internet with speeds up to 100 times faster than other typical service in the region.
