Johns Creek Symphony presents A SCANDINAVIAN TOUR - THIS Saturday

The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra will continue its 15th anniversary season by presenting A SCANDINAVIAN TOUR on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at the Johns Creek United Methodist Church, 11180 Medlock Bridge Road in Johns Creek.

A SCANDINAVIAN TOUR

Join us for an evening of music that musically transports you to the land of castles, fjords, glaciers, the legacy of the Vikings, and all that is Scandinavia. No passport is required. The concert will include a variety of classic favorites including Maskarade Overture by Carl Nielsen, Swedish Rhapsody by Andreas Hallen, Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg and so much more. The night's tour of Scandinavia will also feature our very own concertmaster, Adelaide Federici, in Sibelius' Violin Concerto.

ADELAIDE FEDERICI

Praised by Strad Magazine for her "ingratiating tone" and "consistently reliable technique," violinist Adelaide Federici enjoys a varied musical career. She is concertmaster of the Johns Creek Symphony, assistant principal second of the Atlanta Opera Orchestra, member of the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, Arizona Musicfest Orchestra, Cabrillo Festival Orchestra, and frequently performs with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Adelaide received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music studying under William Preucil and her Masters from the University of Southern California under Robert Lipsett.

J. WAYNE BAUGHMAN

JCSO Music Director and Conductor J. Wayne Baughman studied choral and orchestra conducting, earning undergraduate and graduate degrees in music education from the University of Alabama and advanced studies in conducting at the University of Michigan.

Currently in its 15th season, the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra is metro Atlanta's only fully professional, part-time symphonic orchestra, consisting of professional musicians from all over the greater Metro Atlanta area.
