July 4th Community Walking Parade On June 30 In Milton

The city of Milton notes road closures will go into effect from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

MILTON, GA — The annual Independence Day Walking Community Parade & Celebration will be held Saturday, June 30 in Milton's Crabapple district. Of course, this popular event means some road closures will be needed to accommodate the fun.

The festivities will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a temporary road closure beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m.

The parade, led by the Milton Fire Department, departs Broadwell Pavilion promptly at 10:30 a.m. Families in the area are encouraged to walk to the pavilion, and Milton residents driving to the parade may park at Milton City Hall or Crabapple First Baptist Church.

Following the walking parade, the community is invited to Broadwell Pavilion for parade awards and prizes for the most spirited family, best dressed/decorated pet and wagon/stroller; games and activities; popcorn; crafts; bounce house; fire trucks, police cars, face painting, Kona Ice and more.

To prepare for and host the festivities, the section of Broadwell Road from the Crabapple Crossroads intersection to Marstrow Drive will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Motorists may want to avoid this area on Saturday morning or use the detour map below to navigate around the event area.
