Mayfield Road Streetscape Project Starts Dec. 11 In Milton
A detour will be in place in the eastbound direction of Mayfield Road between Mid Broadwell Road and Charlotte Drive Dec. 11 to early March.

MILTON, GA -- The city of Milton and the Georgia Department of Transportation will soon begin a new streetscape project along a segment of Mayfield Road. The project calls for installing new sidewalks on both sides of the road between Mid-Broadwell Road and Charlotte Drive.
The contractor, Excellere Construction LLC, is currently mobilizing to begin the project on Monday, Dec. 11, and the city anticipates the project being completed in early March. The goal, however, is to complete the project as soon as possible to minimize any inconveniences to Milton residents.
To minimize delays with lane closures, a detour is planned for the eastbound direction of Mayfield Road between Mid Broadwell Road and Charlotte Drive. The detour will be in place weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11 to early March.

"While we recognize that construction projects like this one can be challenging and sometimes inconvenient, we look forward to completing the project as quickly as possible using this detour/one-lane schedule and ultimately improving pedestrian access on Mayfield Road for our Milton residents," the city added.
