Milton Names Finalist For City Manager Position
Police Chief Steven Krokoff has been serving on an interim basis in the position since February.

MILTON, GA -- Milton leaders could soon name a permanent replacement for its city manager post.
Interim City Manager and Police Chief Steven Krokoff is the sole candidate for the position, which has been vacant since February when Chris Lagerbloom resigned to accept a position in Florida.
The city said the appointment could be made at the City Council's July 11 meeting.

Krokoff became Milton’s police chief in March 2015 following the resignation of former chief Deborah Harrell.
He previously served at the police department in Albany, New York, where he created and carried out innovative strategies to reduce crime.
Krokoff earned both his bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in business administration from the State University of New York at Albany. He’s also served on the National Executive Session on Policing and Public Safety at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
