Milton police on Tuesday, April 21 arrested Douglas Todd Laponzina, 40, and charged him with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of impersonating a police officer.
According to an incident report released by the agency, three residents said they were skateboarding on Sunfish Bend during the evening hours on Monday, April 20 when a man in a black Jaguar drove by them at a high rate of speed.

One witnesses said the driver, Laponzina, got out of the vehicle and said, “If you [redacted] don’t get out of the street, I’ll call the cops,” the report states.
The witnesses said Laponzina got back into his vehicle and proceeded to drive to his residence as the trio began to walk down the street.
“As the three were walking down the street, Laponzina emerged from the rear of his residence with what appeared to be a shotgun,” the report reads.
According to the witnesses, Laponzina allegedly pointed the gun at the trio and said “he was an officer of the law.” He also continued to yell racial slurs at the alleged victims and threatened to call the cops, the witnesses said.
“All three victims indicated Laponzina reeked of alcohol and appeared to be very intoxicated,” the officer wrote in the report.
One witness took multiple videos that allegedly showed Laponzina “acting in an aggressive manner and approaching the victims,” the report adds. However, the videos provided by witnesses did not show Laponzina brandishing a shotgun, the officer said.
Last month’s incident was not Laponzina’s first run-in with the law, according to police. In October 2014, Laponzina was allegedly involved in a similar incident at Wild Wing Cafe in Alpharatta “where he attempted to intimidate an individual with his firearm,” the report states.
Laponzina was taken into custody, read his Miranda rights and booked into the Fulton County Jail. Records show he subsequently posted a $40,000 bond on Wednesday, April 22.
