• Alpharetta Moonlight Market returns on Friday, Aug. 28th with vendors, live music, kids zone, and more (atlantaonthecheap.com) — Downtown Alpharetta residents can enjoy the free Moonlight Market on select Friday evenings through late September, with vendors, live music, and a kids zone on the Town Green. You can stroll North Broad and Market streets with open-container drinks, browse 50+ local makers, and find easy free parking in the city garage across from the Alpharetta Library.
   

• Kroger opens new Marketplace locations in metro Atlanta (fox5atlanta.com) — Alpharetta shoppers may remember Kroger's Douglas Road store, which closed in 2025 as part of a broader metro Atlanta downsizing. Now the chain is pivoting to growth, opening several new Marketplace locations around the region and planning additional stores, though none have been announced for Alpharetta yet.
