• Georgia high school students petition to remove Flock cameras from campus (wjcl.com) — Alpharetta High School students are pushing to remove Flock Safety license plate-reading cameras from their campus, arguing the devices violate privacy and could be misused. Fulton County Schools defends the cameras as a key security tool, citing their role in a past arrest, while the students call for alternative safety measures that don't track when and how students come and go.

• NHL Readies Sun Belt Expansion, but Georgia Isn't Done Deal (frontofficesports.com) — Alpharetta residents could eventually see big changes at North Point Mall, where the city council recently approved rezoning to allow a mixed-use project that could support an NHL franchise. The league is focused first on adding a second Texas team, but metro Atlanta, including Alpharetta and Forsyth County proposals, remains in the broader expansion conversation for future teams.
