Qualifying Starts Monday for Alpharetta, Milton Elections

Both cities will hold elections on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Qualifying for the Tuesday, Nov. 3 municipal elections in Alpharetta and Milton will kick off next week.

In Milton, residents will be able to qualify between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Sept. 4. The fee is $390.

The election will be held to fill the following seats: District 1/Post 2, held by Burt Hewitt; District 2/Post 2, held by Matt Kunz; and District 3/Post 2, held by Rick Mohrig.

Qualifying will take place in the office of the city clerk at Milton City Hall, located at 13000 Deerfield Parkway Suite 107F.

In the neighboring city of Alpharetta, qualifying will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 31 through Wednesday, Sept. 2 in the office of the city clerk at City Hall.

Seats up for re-election include the mayor, held by David Belle Isle; Post 4, held by Jim Gilvin; Post 5, held by Michael Cross; and Post 6, which is held by D.C. Aiken.

The qualifying fee is $450 for the City Council seats and $900 for the office of mayor. Alpharetta City Hall is located at 2 Park Plaza.
