Render Ad Service wins Top National Advertising Award

The Gold Pyramid National Promotional Products Award

Render Ad Service won the PPAI (Promotional Products Association Industry) Highest Award called the GOLD Pyramid Award in their industry of advertising in 2023. They won because Troy Redner of Render Ad Service did a Promotional Product Program for their client that was the most Creative, Technically Excellent work in the Promotional Products Industry in 2023 and was honored through the United States at the PPAI Pyramid Award ceremony was presented at the annually meeting to highest achieving member company that serve their clients the best.

Troy Redner of Render Ad Service explains what his did for his client to win the top award of the Promotional Products Industry:

Henry County Sheriffs’ Office is part of Georgia Sheriffs’ Association, a non-profit that sponsors the non-profit Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes, which was established to give Georgia’s most at risk children the love, safety and stability needed to become mature, successful adults. The Henry County sheriff wanted an event to fundraise and bring the community together.

A car show is a fun, active, safe place for all ages. To enter, one must have a unique, interesting, colorful, creative, restored, and/or exotic car. The committee sought a distinctive award, not the expected plaque or trophy that’s normal for such events. The award had to display multiple logos: Henry Country Sheriffs, Youth Homes, CAR SHOW, and CommUNITY”. Most importantly, the award should create a buzz to generate participants.

When the sheriff said former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal would donate $5000 as a grand prize, I recommended a full-sized basketball, large enough to hold all logos, as the trophy. I then suggested Shaq autograph the balls to increase appeal and prestige.

And that did it! The event, free for the community, was promoted online, word of mouth, fliers. A local news station reported that the top 25 cars would receive an autographed basketball with the Car Show logo. Calls came from around the southeast to enter.

The church lot was filled; 550 cars entered. Over 1500 people attended. We’re told cars were turning around because of no more parking. In addition to entry fees for the cars, several large donations, plus $1,000 raised in a bid for a signed basketball, raised over $32,000.

The successful event will now be annually, possibly moving to the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Certain volunteers and dignitaries also received basketballs.

The Shaq-signed basketball-as-trophy was instrumental in bringing a community to a wonderful event that raised significant funds for an important cause and visibility for and connection with the Henry County Sheriff and the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association.
