After Alpharetta Police evacuated and searched Fiserv Tuesday, a police report says two employees were briefly detained during the search.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Two Fiserv employees were briefly detained Tuesday when Alpharetta police searched and eventually cleared the building after a report of an armed person.
At 9:30 a.m., officers arrived at Fiserv, 2900 Westside Parkway, after receiving a report of a person armed inside the building. Officers conducted a search of the building floor-by-floor.
All employees were evacuated from the building and no shooter was located, a police report said.

However, two employees were briefly detained on the fifth floor. A 39-year-old man had a firearm, but a 26-year-old woman said the firearm was hers and gave it to the man when she heard an active shooter alarm.
Police notified Fiserv that the woman brought the firearm on company property, and both were released from custody, the report said.

After searching and receiving information provided by onsite security, police determined the call was a false alarm.
Just before 11 a.m., Alpharetta police gave an all clear that all floors and areas were checked.
Fiserv employees tweeted about the situation, including Jason who said, "Just got evacuated due to armed assailant. No idea what's going on. Anyone sees anything on the news about Fiserv in Alpharetta, please let me know. So far, everything and everyone is calm."
Other employees said they are in the Costco parking lot down the street. Some said they saw police with guns drawn going inside Fiserv. Nearby buildings were on lock down according to employees on social media.
In February 2014, Fiserv moved its Georgia operations to Alpharetta, a consolidation from Gwinnett, bringing about 500 jobs with it. Fiserv brings information technology services to the financial services industry.
