This project, designed by Richard Owens Environmental Design, is the club’s third project at North Park. The idea was to create a peaceful and subtle woodland garden in this naturally beautiful, yet underutilized, nook of North Park and provide park visitors an opportunity for exploration, rest, relaxation and reflection, according to a news release from the club.
The Rotary Reflection Garden is set behind an existing pond and fountain area and in front of the undisturbed woods. It is just past the Adult Activity Center at North Park's Cogburn Road entrance, and before the football field.

A rustic Peace Pole will serve as an attractive focal point from the road. It includes multiple benches for relaxation along with a beautiful garden and brick pavers.
The community will continue to have an opportunity to be involved in the garden by purchasing engraved brick pavers. Those pavers can be engraved with inspirational and appropriate sayings and/or family names.
"Be a part of something special. Consider making a gift acknowledging someone who has impacted you," the news release said.
