SAR Piedmont presents US Flag Certificate

On July 20, the Piedmont Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution presented two Flag Respect Certificates to recipients in Roswell and Marietta. Flag Respect Certificates are presented to those individuals and institutions that show proper flag respect by ensuring the flag is displayed properly and either lit up or brought indoors at night.

Craig Benton, Flag Respect Committee Chairman, and Stacey McCarver, Piedmont Chapter President, presented a certificate to Roswell Resident, Steve Naturman. Mr. Naturman is a naturalized U.S. Citizen, originally from South Africa.

Craig Benton, Stacey McCarver, and Bob Sapp, a Past President of the Georgia Society, Sons of the American Revolution, presented a flag certificate to Marietta resident, Captain Ronald Hyde (U.S. Navy, Retired). Captain Hyde served his country for nearly thirty years, including over 200 missions flown over Vietnam. His last duty station was as Commander of Naval Air Station Atlanta.
