SAR presents Knight Essay winners at Fellowship Christian School
SAR Piedmont members Stacey McCarver, Bob Sapp, George Thurmond, Al Finley & Ron Redner present SAR Knight Essay Contest winners to students

The Sons of the American Revolution – Piedmont Chapter presented the SAR Knight Essay Contest winners to students at Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, GA on February 15,2023.
Maddox Jack Lewis, 10th grade student at Fellowship Christian School recently received a first place award in the Sons of the American Revolution / Knights Essay contest for High School students. Maddox produced a essay titled “Rebellion: Necessary and Proper”. His entry was sponsored by the Piedmont Chapter that meets in Roswell. Maddox received check for $300 (chapter) and for his school entry along with certificate for winning the chapter competition. Maddox's brochure will be entered in the SAR State competition.
Evelyn (Evie) Mejia placed 2nd, receiving a check for $150 and a certificate for her essay titled “Announcing Sovereignty”.

The Fellowship Christian School entries were made under the encouragement of their High School teacher, Ms Joan Ergle.
