Second Woman Dies In Alpharetta Murder-Suicide

The first woman was pronounced dead at the scene Monday afternoon at Homewood Suites in Alpharetta.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- The discovery of a woman found dead and another critically injured Monday afternoon in Alpharetta taken another tragic turn.

The second woman who was found critically injured inside the room has passed away, said Alpharetta Department of Public Safety spokesperson George Gordon.

Alpharetta officers responded around 1:20 p.m. March 20 to the room at Homewood Suites for a welfare check on the occupants of the room. Once those cops arrived on the scene, they entered the room and found two victims with gunshot wounds.

One woman was pronounced dead inside the room and the other was transported to North Fulton Hospital in critical condition. That woman passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital's emergency room, Gordon added.

Gordon said all indications point to the incident as a murder-suicide. Autopsies on both victims are being conducted Tuesday morning at the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office.

"The two females were the only two people involved in this incident," Gordon added. "We are not looking for anyone else."
