Think Pink Golf Outing Raises $100,000 for Breast Cancer Nonprofit

4th Annual Think Pink was held October 23rd at Iron Horse Golf Club in Milton, Benefiting TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation

The 4th Annual Think Pink Golf Tournament, benefiting the nonprofit TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, was held at the Iron Horse Golf Club in Milton on Sunday, October 23rd. There were more than 150 attendees. Think Pink raised more than $100,000 a record amount, and since it started in 2019, the event has raised more than $215,000.

Think Pink included a golf tournament, silent auction, raffles and on course games as they all helped raise money for the event.

Marlene DeSimone, the event’s chair and organizer, as well as a longtime TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation board member and former patient, led Think Pink with assistance from fellow Board members Kathy Smith, Amena Mitchell, and Sunny Roesel, all of whom were instrumental in securing sponsors and donated items as well as volunteering the day of the event!

TurningPoint staff on hand included Physical Therapist Janae Finley, Executive Director Tara Hall, Physical Therapist Assistant Courtney Holmes, Physical Therapist Assistant Jyoti Patel, and Administrative Coordinator Emily Schwenk.

“I am extremely humbled, grateful, and thankful for the support and generous hearts of our community for their efforts through sponsorships, silent auction donations and playing in the event which enabled this exceptional financial contribution possible which will greatly benefit TurningPoint’s patients,” said DeSimone.

About TurningPoint - TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that improves the quality of life for individuals impacted by breast cancer by providing and advocating for specialized, evidence-based rehabilitation while reducing socioeconomic, racial, cultural, and geographic barriers to care. Services include physical therapy, massage therapy, emotional support, nutritional counseling, exercise classes, and education programs. TurningPoint started in 2003 and since that time, has seen more than 40,000 patient visits.
