What Happened To The 16 Georgians Charged In Jan. 6 Capitol Riot?
In the year since the U.S. Capitol riot, 16 Georgians have been charged. Here's what they're accused of doing and the status of their cases.

GEORGIA — Jan. 6, 2021 began as another business day as Congress met to certify the electoral college vote in the presidential election. But it quickly became an infamous day in American history, including for the 16 Georgians who have since been charged with various crimes tied to the unrest.
Thousands were involved in the riots at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, that disrupted the Joint Session of Congress that was in the process of affirming the results of the country's votes.
That crowd included Georgians who have since been charged by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Patch compiled a list of those accused with crimes and details on their case.
