Athens-Clarke County Police Department Re-Accredited with Excellence

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department was re-accredited with Excellence through the Gold Standards Process by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies at the July 21 summer conference.

The ACCPD is currently one of only a few agencies in Georgia to receive accreditation through a new process, the Gold Standard Assessment.

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies determined the AACPD was one of the top agencies accredited in the nation and was awarded the Advance Accreditation with Excellence Award along with the department's re-accreditation.
