Authorities said the Athens woman died due to superheated gas inhalation, thermal injuries and hydrocodone intoxication, a report says.
ATHENS, GA — Debbie Collier, a missing Athens woman, died in September due to superheated gas inhalation, thermal injuries and hydrocodone intoxication, according to an Atlanta News First report.
Collier went missing on Sept. 10. Her body was found a day later in a Habersham County embankment, according to past reports.
The outlet reported authorities said Collier's death was intentional.

Amanda Bearden, her daughter, recently said on a podcast that she believed her mother may have taken her own life as she detailed moments before Collier's disappearance.
