Debbie Collier: 911 Calls Released In Death of Missing Athens Woman

Channel 2 Action News reported Tuesday receiving 911 calls from authorities relating to the death of Deborrah Collier.

HABERSHAM COUNTY, GA โ€” Channel 2 Action News has obtained 911 calls relating to the disappearance of Debbie Collier, an Athens woman whose body was found in mid-September in a Habersham County embankment, the outlet reported.

Collier was last seen buying supplies from a Family Dollar in Clayton on Sept. 10, the day she was reported missing, according to previous media reports.

According to Channel 2, Collier's husband, Steve, reported to dispatchers that his wife was absent when he arrived home that day, noting the rental van she had been driving was also gone.

Both Collier's daughter and a woman who identified herself to dispatchers as Collier's sister reported Collier was involved in a wreck in April, prompting her to rent the van, Channel 2 reported.

Fox 5 Atlanta reported the rental car was found Sept. 11 in Habersham County by a Tallulah Falls police officer.

Authorities searched the nearby woods, where they found a "nude female laying on her back, grasping a small tree with her right hand," Fox 5 reported.

According to Fox 5, the Habersham County Sheriff's Office identified the woman as Collier.

Channel 2 reported there are no suspects in the case.
