Georgia College and Career Ready Performance Index Scores for Clarke County Schools
The Georgia Department of Education released the information Tuesday.
The Georgia Department of Education has released the Georgia College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). With a 100 point scale, it’s the new testing system, replacing the Adequate Yearly Progress measurement in Georgia.
“This information and scoring metric creates a new base from which to focus our work. We have made significant gains over the last three years in our overall performance – but with that said, we know that we have much hard work left to meet our overall expectation that all students are successful,” said Superintendent Philip Lanoue.

Each school can earn a possible 100 points. Scores are composed of three major areas: Achievement (70 points possible), Progress (15 points possible) and Achievement Gap (15 points possible). Some schools receive “Challenge Points” (up to 10 points) if they have a significant number of Economically Disadvantaged students, English Learner students and Students with Disabilities meeting expectations. They also receive points for going beyond the targets of the CCRPI by challenging students to exceed expectations and participate in college and career readiness programs. Beginning in 2013-14, schools will also receive ratings based on their financial efficiency and school climate, but these ratings will be for the public’s information only and will not factor into the school’s overall CCRPI score.
Though lower overall, the Clarke County School District’s average was higher than the state average in elementary progress, middle progress, middle closing the achievement gap, high closing the achievement gap and high economically disadvantaged/English language learners/students with disabilities performance. (Please see the attached information for details.)
“Our hard work in elementary and middle schools is supported by the increases in the middle level. We believe that as these students move into high school, students will continue to make progress and close the achievement gap,” said Lanoue.
