Jason Aldean Won't Be The Only Concert in Sanford Stadium
University administrators are open to the idea of holding more concerts there.

Jason Aldean's April 13 Night Train Concert has tagged Sanford Stadium as the newest Athens venue. Things went so well that incoming UGA president Jere Morehead is open to having similiar events in the future.
Greg McGarrity, the UGA Athletic Director, pronounced the concert a tremendous success, Morehead said. He said another concert could occur next year or thereafter.

The 66,000 people who attended the concert were better behaved than a football crowd, said UGA President Michael Adams, who said last Saturday "was a wonderful evening for Mary and me."
He had invited administrators and staff members to watch the concert in his private sky suite, high above the stadium floor. He said the event was "wonderful for the university."

Using Sanford Stadium for something other than a sports event is a way to "maximize the use of our facilities," Adams said. "It was just a great evening and a great event for the university."
The only downside? The traffic on the way out--everyone stayed until the last note.
