• University of Georgia student survives accidental fall from 8th-floor window (kxan.com) — A University of Georgia student is recovering after accidentally falling from an eighth-floor window at the Rambler Athens student housing complex, according to Athens-Clarke County police. Witnesses say she fell through a window screen onto a lower deck, suffering multiple broken bones but surviving. Rambler management has since reminded Athens residents about window safety limiters as police continue investigating.
   

• Art History Faculty Lecture with Asen Kirin (uga.edu) — Athens art lovers can look forward to an upcoming faculty lecture at the Georgia Museum of Art by professor and curator Asen Kirin, titled "The Many Lives of an Art Collection." Kirin will draw on his international training and past exhibitions at the museum to explore how collections evolve over time, offering local residents a chance to deepen their understanding of Byzantine and Russian art.
