The guide highlights Athens counselors, sliding-scale options, nonprofits like Nuçi's Space and Banyan Tree Center, campus groups such as PCC and North Star, and crisis lines, plus tips for using telehealth and free tools like Headspace when local providers are booked.
   

2. Athens-Clarke County judge starts text program to remind defendants of court dates (11alive.com) — If you or someone you know has to appear in Athens-Clarke County court, a new text-reminder system could help prevent costly missed dates, warrants, and even jail time. Northwood Ravin Launches Leasing at Publix-Anchored Student Housing Development Near University of Georgia (studenthousingbusiness.com) — A major new student-focused apartment complex, Magnolia, is now pre-leasing at Broad Street and Milledge Avenue in downtown Athens, bringing 179 units and the first national grocer, Publix, to the downtown area. Residents can expect extensive amenities from coworking and wellness spaces to a pool, jumbotron, and fitness center, with opening planned before UGA's 2027–28 school year.

Shop with a Bulldog seeks community support in bringing holiday joy to Athens children (classiccitynews.com) — University of Georgia students are gearing up for the Nov. 8 Shop with a Bulldog event, pairing Athens-Clarke County children with volunteers for a day of holiday shopping and mentorship. Organizers are asking Athens residents, businesses, and Bulldog fans to donate or enter a prize-packed giveaway so more local kids can enjoy gifts, attention, and lasting connections this season.
   

5. Live scoreboard for Athens-area high school football Week 8 (onlineathens.com) — Athens-area football fans get a handy live scoreboard for Week 8, spotlighting Cedar Shoals, Athens Academy, Clarke Central, and other nearby powerhouses as they chase winning records and region leads. You can follow scores in real time Friday night, then return Saturday for a full recap of how local teams fared across Northeast Georgia.
