The Red & Black Publishing Company, Inc. today announced the appointment of eight members to the company’s Board of Directors.
Greg Bluestein, Chuck Reece and Steven M. Sears joined the board Nov. 9. Eric Heuett, Samira Jafari, Andria Krewson, Joey Powell, and Justin Gillis joined the board Feb. 1.
Bluestein is a political reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He was The Red & Black’s Editor in Chief from 2003-04.
Gillis covers global climate change for The New York Times. He was The Red & Black’s Editor in Chief in 1981.
Heuett is a certified public accountant. He was a Red & Black advertising account executive from 2003 to 2004.
Jafari is a Supervising News Editor at CNN Digital. She was The Red & Black’s Editor in Chief from 2001-02.
Krewson an independent journalist in Charlotte, N.C., and a student in the digital master’s program at the University of North Carolina. She was The Red & Black’s news editor in 1981.
Powell is an account executive at the Atlanta Business Chronicle. He was The Red & Black’s Student Advertising Manager in 2005.
Reece is the creative director of content at Unboundary, a design firm. He was The Red & Black’s Editor in Chief in 1983.
Sears is a Senior Editor and columnist with Barron’s and Barrons.com. He was a newswriter for The Red & Black from 1988 to 1990.
