5 Injured, Including Teen, In 3-Car Pileup In Atlanta
The teen's injuries were serious, and she was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.
ATLANTA — A three-car pileup Sunday afternoon at Wells Street near Metropolitan Parkway resulted in four people suffering minor injuries and a 13-year-old girl suffering serious injuries, Atlanta Police said.
The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. Police said a Hyundai Elantra turning onto Wells from Metropolitan was hit by a Nissan Altima. The Elantra then crashed into a Nissan Rogue, police said.
While the drivers of the Altima and Rogue were not injured in the crash, police said the driver of the Elantra and its three occupants had minor injuries.

The Elantra's fifth occupant, a 13-year-old girl, was taken to the hospital in critical condition after suffering serious injuries, police said. Her status was unknown Monday.
The Atlanta Police Department's Accident Investigations Unit is overseeing the probe into the crash.
