• Man injured in northwest Atlanta house fire, officials say (fox5atlanta.com) — Emergency crews rushed to a northwest Atlanta home on Dale Creek Drive NW Saturday morning, rescuing a man with severe burns and rushing him to the hospital after flames tore through the back and side of the house. Atlanta Fire Rescue is still investigating what sparked the blaze and has not confirmed what happened to a dog reported trapped inside or released the victim's identity or condition.
   

• Atlanta Ballet names Chief Development Officer (macon.com) — Atlanta's arts scene is getting new fundraising leadership as Atlanta Ballet appoints Marietta resident Zachary Brown as chief development officer ahead of the company's 100th anniversary. Brown, a veteran of WABE, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and several local nonprofits, is tasked with strengthening philanthropic support for one of the city's flagship cultural institutions.
   

• Man sentenced for 2024 fatal shooting inside Brookhaven tattoo shop (fox5atlanta.com) — A New York man has been sentenced to life plus 15 years for a 2024 fatal shooting inside a Brookhaven tattoo shop, after a DeKalb County jury convicted him of murder and related charges. Investigators used surveillance video and license plate reader technology from across metro Atlanta to track him to Sandy Springs and secure the conviction.
