APD Officer, Passenger Injured In Atlanta Crash
Police said the officer and their passenger were injured after a driver failed to obey a traffic control device.
ATLANTA — A driver was arrested after a crash injured an officer and their passenger around noon Sunday at Forsyth and Mitchell streets, Atlanta Police said.
Police said a civilian rear-ended a marked city patrol vehicle after not obeying a traffic control device. The officer and their passenger, who were both inside of the patrol vehicle, were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for evaluation, police said.
The driver had minor injuries and refused medical treatment, police said. The person was cited on suspicion of failing to obey a traffic control device and was arrested on suspicion of not having a valid license, police said.
