ASO Reimagines Beloved Film Score Program 'Star Wars and More' with New Composers Added to May 16 Lineup

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra recently announced the reimagining of the beloved Star Wars and More: Music of John Williams and Other Legendary Film Composers, sponsored by Cisco, that will take place at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta May 16.

The hit concert will be led by fan-favorite guest conductor Stuart Chafetz, who helped reinvigorate this year’s program by breathing in fresh life to the concert with film score works from other composers to entice both new audiences and those who’ve attended this program in the past.

New in 2026, the first half of the performance will now feature a selection of pieces from various iconic film score composers, including works from "The Lord of the Rings," "Batman," James Bond films and many more.

After intermission, the ASO will follow suit from past years, performing film score hits from celebrated composer John Williams. Tickets to see the legendary film scores performed by the ASO are available now at Ticketmaster.com and ASO.org.

The force awakens this spring as "Star Wars and More" with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra returns to Ameris Bank Amphitheatre. This family-friendly concert includes iconic film scores from John Williams, Danny Elfman, Alan Silvestri and other legendary film composers, with music from "Star Wars," Harry Potter, "Jurassic Park," "The Avengers" and other films. This program delivers an unforgettable symphonic experience enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

Arrive early and step into a world of movie magic before the concert begins! Costumed characters and cosplayers will be mingling about the venue, while fans can enjoy face painting, photo opportunities, and other family-friendly activities. Fans are encouraged to join in on the fun by dressing in their favorite themed attire or cosplay.
