Atlanta A Best Pizza City, Where To Grab Slice: TripAdvisor
TripAdvisor says Atlanta is one of the best pizza cities in the country, and has a recommendation on where to get a great slice.

ATLANTA, GA — Is there more than one right answer to the question: Where do you go in Atlanta for the best slice of pizza? That's likely a debate that will never be settled, but TripAdvisor this week named the best pizzerias in the country and ranked Atlanta one of the Top 10 US Pizza Cities with a recommendation of where to grab the best slice in town.
Boston's Pizzeria Regina in the North End topped Manhattan's famed Bleecker Street Pizza to be named the best pizzeria in the country, TripAdvisor said. The top 10 list was "based on millions of reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor diners," the popular travel website said. Recent reviews were given more weight than older ones.
Overall, Atlanta was ranked as the No. 9 pizza city in a top 10 list led by New York. The top 10 cities are also based on the quality of pizza restaurant reviews and the quantity of pizza restaurants and their great pizza reviews, with more weight given to reviews in the past year.

The best pizza place in town, according to TripAdvisor, is Antico Pizza Napoletana at 1093 Hemphill Ave NW, in Atlanta.
A recent customer review said in part, "The pizza was really good and worth the drive to get there. I would definitely go back. ... It is kind of pricey. I was sort of surprised since it’s so close to GA Tech. Our pizza was $22 and a glass of wine in a plastic cup was (I think) $9."

Here's how the venue describes its origins and growth:
"In a nondescript building on the Westside of Atlanta, Giovanni Di Palma built his pizzeria from scraps and stones. The exterior wasn’t much to look at, but inside held the secrets to the perfect pie. Within weeks of opening Antico Pizza Napoletana, lines of locals, visitors and celebrities formed around the block. Antico is now a name synonymous with pizza greatness.
"As a pioneer of the neighborhood, Di Palma’s fame grew alongside the area’s popularity, and he created Little Italia, modeled after the historic town centers found all across Italy. Little Italia is the best place to be – in the heart of it all – with Antico Pizza Napoletana, Gio’s Chicken Italiano & Maccheroni, Caffè Antico and Bar Amalfi recreating the magnificent energy of the classic Italian street scene."
