Hundreds of Kids and Parents Participate in Soccer-Themed Summer Goals Tour at Target

With the World Cup nearing the semi-final stage, hundreds of fans of all ages visited Target for a free and fun experience held July 11.

The retailer brought tournament excitement directly to the community with the Summer Goals Tour, giving over 650 fans a front-row seat to the fun, with several hands-on activities enjoyed.

Target's Summer Goals Tour took place in the parking lot for the 2400 North Druid Hills location.

The transformed parking area featured an interactive soccer playground with several fan experiences:

• Walk-through Players Tunnel to the roar of a cheering crowd
• Testing soccer skills in challenges on the Play Pitch for the Target Practice challenge in which young participants had 60 seconds to score as many goals as possible (the record on Saturday: 28 goals!)
• Diving into hands-on activities designed to bring the magic of the tournament to life, with games, samples and surprises from Chobani, Dove, Liquid I.V. and LEGO, which encouraged families to build their own soccer trophy or shoe made of the iconic plastic pieces

Guests also shopped for exclusive Atlanta host city merchandise and limited-edition fan apparel. From repping favorite teams with the Boys’ United States Soccer Sweatshirt and Women’s Mexico Floral Jersey T-shirt, to collecting the FIFA World Cup 2026 Blackout Soccer Ball and LEGO FIFA World Cup Trophy, there was something for every fan.

Target's Summer Goals Tour next heads to its final stop in New Jersey to coincide with the final championship soccer game on July 19.
