On Black Friday, Don't Shop — Adopt

Four Metro Atlanta animal shelters will waive adoption fees for pets who need a home.

ATLANTA, GA — LifeLine Animal Project is asking Atlantans to do something different on Black Friday weekend by skipping the mall traffic, long lines and credit card bills, and adopting a lifetime of love! The project is offering fee-waived adoptions from Friday to Monday. The adoptions are being sponsored by Zappos.com and North Shore Animal League.

On Black Friday last year, LifeLine Animal Project set a record with 374 animals getting adopted from its shelters, the group said in a statement. This year, the shelters are packed, so they want to beat that record and see at least 380 find new homes.

All pets at all four shelters will be fee waived and will receive their vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip, a $250 value, at no additional cost. Shelters include:
