Buckhead Educator, Kim Sumlin, Opens Practice as Certified Life Coach

Atlanta, Ga. – One of Atlanta’s most tenured and respected public educators, Kim Sumlin, has opened the doors on her new Certified Life Coach practice, Knowledge is Magic, dedicated to guiding clients along trusted avenues to balance life’s challenges and expectations with one’s own personal growth.

Sumlin’s practice debuts upon her earning prestigious certification from the Atlanta-based LifeWorks School of Coaching. Sumlin has infused the LifeWorks learning with her practical experiences as a lifelong educator to help women over thirty who have become lost in the ‘shoulds’ of life gain clarity. The coaching nurtures practical choices that bring an individual joy and peace rather than guilt, worry or frustration.

A graduate of Emory University with a degree in International Studies, Sumlin obtained her Teacher’s Certificate from Georgia State University and worked on a master’s degree at West Georgia University. She has taught at the elementary, middle and high school levels in Atlanta for over two decades. She also is a longtime community volunteer, having supported such organizations as Baby Buddies at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, and as a parent volunteer in her children’s schools, as well as serving on the board of their PTA, PTSA, and foundations.
